Back from vacation
As I'm back from vacation I try to update the website where needed right now. Some no longer working links have been updated. JMDB is still in development as you can see on it's own website. Still I wasn't able to deliver the final release but the pre-release version can be used.
The REXX script to generate a list of current movies shown at the cinemas has been updated to version 1.6 quite a while ago. It has a modified timeframe search. The script can be found at the project section (see REXX).
Beside JMDB I'm working on some HP/Palm webOS applications as well as an Java-based application providing a web interface to edit the PalmDatabase.db3 file. Once they are ready to be released there will be a news entry.
The work on the following projects has been terminated:
- VFP Data Converter (VFPDC)
The reason is that I don't work any more on Open-Xchange (actually since 2008) and I don't have access to a current version of Open-Xchange to do tests (except for the online demo version). - FinchSyncSW Client
There are two reasons for this. First of all I wanted to switch from SuperWaba to TotalCross (I already migrated the code as far as possible), but even month after the first TotalCross releases it still doesn't offer an API to access the PIM functions (Calendar, Contacts,..) of the device as the authors want to reimplement it (but don't do it). As I moved from my great Palm Treo 650 (PalmOS) to the Palm Pre (webOS), it's actually of no use for me. Why should I spend time and money on a free application I don't even use myself?
The work on the following project has been terminated but may be restarted in the future:
- Subsonic - Extended Search Feature
The main reason is that the author didn't include my patches into the normal source tree. The changes he applied last year restructuring the internal search requires me to reimplement round about 80 percent of the code. Currently I don't have time for it nor do I currently use Subsonic. All my stuff has been copied to my Xtreamer.

Happy new year
There will be several JMDB related project updates within the next few weeks but it's unclear when the final JMDB release will be available. The full text search is on it's way but there are still some things that need to be changed. As I'm very busy with my daytime job right now.
